Nato nell’isola di Jeju, compie i suoi studi alla City University of New York per poi debuttare nel 2013 con il film “The Hero”. “Ordinary Person” (2017) ha ottenuto, al 39esimo International Film Festival di Mosca, il premio per il miglior attore grazie all’interpretazione di Son Hyun-joo.
